Traveltrain
QR Traveltrain
operates long distance and tourist trains carrying around 900,000 passengers
each year. About 36 per cent travel while on holidays and 46 per cent are
visiting friends and relatives.
These figures reinforce Traveltrain's position as a major
transport provider for the State's tourism industry.
More than 9000 seats and berths per week on 19 return services are available on Traveltrain's long distance trains. These include the Queenslander, Sunlander, Spirit of the Outback, Spirit of the Tropics, Westlander and Inlander, as well as on Australia's first high speed Tilt Train Services. For the more adventurous, Traveltrain also offers the Kuranda Scenic Railway, the Savannahlander and the Gulflander. |
